My name is Megan and my boyfriend Seneca and I recently got our first VW bus. Being environmentalists, we got a diesel so Seneca could convert it to run on Waste Vegetable Oil, a cleaner, renewable, sustainable, and vegetarian fuel source. This blog is a chronicle of our adventures converting our bus to a greasecar, or as we like to call it, a “Volksvegan” and our grease-powered travels.

I’ll be sharing photos, tips, ideas, news, stories, and links related to the grease conversion and our general restoration of the 1982 Diesel Vanagon. You may learn along with us about bio-fuels, greasecars, green living, and the hopefully many beautiful places we see. This blog also serves as a travel journal for us to log our greasy miles and show the world how much fun driving a car that smells like french fries can be!
